Adhesive

So Scrapbooks, Etc had a challenge to use adhesive creatively. Here's what I did for the challenge...

I took double-side tape and made (lopsided) stripes on my paper.

Then I peeled off the top and sprinkled glitter on the paper so I now I had stripes of glitter.

I also decided to add the adhesive as is. Put it on my layout and then NOT peel the top off and use it as an embellishment. :)

Here's my finished layout:

All the papers, diecuts, and chipboard letters are from My Little Shoebox.

Here are some close-up's:

Have an awesome Tuesday!!!

Yeah! The day, the time, and the hour has come! Welcome to Scrapbook Challenges second DT blog hop! :) It officially starts at 10am (MT) and will go through Sunday at Midnight (MT)--which is the deadline for qualifying for prizes.

I am your first stop on the hop.

In case you don't know...Scrapbook Challenges is a group on myspace. We have weekly sketches and challenges. There are monthly sponsors for the group with fabulous prizes to win. The DT there is wonderfully creative as well as kind. You will get to know a little more about each of them today! :) And...we have a guest blogger with us today too...I'm not going to give it away...you got to keep hopping to discover who.

And of course, the best news is that we have lots of FABULOUS PRIZES to give away today! So let me get on with all the ways you can win a prize. :)

1. Our first awesome blog hop sponsor is Apron Strings! One lucky person will win BOTH of these kits... (can click on these to view them bigger)

Photobucket

To be entered into the drawing for this prize all you need to do is leave a comment on ALL of the blogs in our blog hop today! Not too hard. :)

2. All of the ladies in the blog hop today will have a layout based on a sketch by yours truly. We would love to see what you do with the sketch! Everyone who makes a layout based on the blog hop sketch gets entered into a drawing to win this fabulous stamp set fromUnity Stamp Company:

If you do the sketch leave me another comment on this post with a link to your layout OR post it here in the Scrapbook Challenges group!

3. Everybody who emails me (pamelacy@msn.com) the answers to these questions gets entered into a drawing for the following stamp set from Unity Stamp Company.

* Name one of our newest DT members.
* How long has Scrapbook Challenges on myspace been around?
* Which Scrapbook Challenges DT member also designs for Scrap Within Reach?
* Are you a member of Scrapbook Challenges on myspace?

It may take just a little bit of investigative work, but I don't think it will be too difficult. :)

Ok, now that we got all that out of the way....

Here's the Blog Hop sketch:

and here is my layout for the sketch:

My husband said I got a little lame with this one...LOL...but I couldn't help myself. Notice that the stamp I am giving away in my RAK is the same stamp I used on my layout. :) Love it! I do hope you play along and make a layout based on the sketch.

And let's see if I can come up with 5 new fun facts to share about myself...
* My mom owns a quilt store...I quilt too.
* I can't help but sing and dance around the house during the day...and I find my kids doing that too! :)
* I have gotten swept into more supernatural type shows (which I NEVER used to enjoy) like Heroes and Fringe. I even enjoyed the latest Star Trek movie that my husband dragged me to (shh...don't tell).
* My birthday is in 5 days. :) And I LIKE getting older! I don't get what the big deal is.
* I'm the one who mows the lawn at our house...and I enjoy it.

Ok, now that you have made it this far...

Oh, and thanks for joining us today! :)

3 Different Cards, 3 Different Challenge Sites

Don't you love challenge sites? I sure do. And there are some fabulous ones out there these days! I have 3 cards to share with you today. All of my cards use Unity stamps and glimmer mist. Thought I'd show you how fun it is to use your glimmer mist on your cards! :)

Card #1: CPS 134

I am no stranger to CPS...I've done a lot of their card sketches. Here's my card for their sketch 134:

I stamped and cut out that scalloped circle image and then used it as a mask for my background. :)

The 2 Sketches 4 You site is new to me, I have never participated in one of their challenges before. They also do card sketches. Here's my card for their sketch this week:

This card leaves me singing..."Oh Happy Day..." Those papers are from Jillibean Soup.

And then,

Card #3: SSCC 5

This is another new site for me...Stampin' Sisters in Christ. Their challenge this week was to make a card using the colors of fall (you can determine what the colors of fall are to you). This is the card I made:

There are many fun things you can do with glimmer mist! In this last card I created the background using a glimmer screen and several colors of glimmer mist. I stamped those images and then colored them with pretty bright colors. I dirtied them up by spraying glimmer mist on them, also allowing them to warp for a more vintage look.

What other challenge blogs to you like?

Winners! :)

Ok.....

The winner from the Rusty Pickle blog hop (by random number generator).....

is.....

And the winner from sketch 160 is......

Ladies, if you can email me your address (pamelacy@msn.com) then I will get your goodies mailed out to you! :)

Scrap and Stamp Saturday

Yeah, I know...It's not Saturday. I missed my post. I got distracted. :)

So here ya go...

If you are looking for the Rusty Pickle blog hop post scroll down.

The challenge this week on Scrap and Stamp is to use the colors blue and green and make a layout. You must use at least one stamp on the layout. Simple enough. Make sure you post a link to your layout here on Scrap and Stamp. Here's my layout:

I decided to try something new and spray glimmer mist on my rubber stamps (from Unity) and stamp them. That is how I did the background.

My stamps came from this month's scrapbooking kit from Unity Stamp Company. :)

Sorry for the late post. :)

Rusty Pickle Blog Hop!!!!

Woo Hoo...that's right, it's time for a Rusty Pickle blog hop! If you're just coming to my blog why don't you join us and start at the Rusty Pickle blog. There's a lot of giveaways! Not only that, but there are a lot of FABULOUS projects to inspire you, so join in the fun! If you came from Tracey's blog, then you are in the right spot....thanks for hopping with us! :)

I was trying to think of something fun I could make and post today and my eyes fell on this revolving display (from 7 gypsies) that I have had forever (it feels like it anyways) so I thought it was about time I did something with it. I used papers, chipboard, trims, die cuts, rub-on's and stickers from Rusty Pickle....from all sorts of lines. :) Beware...there are A LOT of pictures...

All these pictures were taken on our recent summer vacation. I always like to make a mini or something to display for our vacations.

So there you have it....my fun project for today.

And on to the RAK. Here is what one lucky person can win simply by leaving a comment on my blog....

It's the new Panama Jack line of papers, die cuts and stickers. There's also some chipboard and trim in there! :)

Ok, now time to hop to Noeleen's fabulous blog! Don't forget to make it all the way to the end of the hop (there is a fabulous prize waiting there too).

Have a great weekend everyone!
